Nietzsche on Language
|
Beyond Good and Evil 268 We
are common to the extent to which we have similar experiences. Language
enables us to communicate with each other but it is our shared experiences
that enable us to understand each other. Those who are individual are
liable to remain alone. The tendency is to develop into the similar,
ordinary, average- ie the common. The history of language is the history
of a process of abbreviation. |
